CLIS – Continuous Assessment of Cognitive Load in Information Seeking This project investigates cognitive load experienced by web information searchers. Cognitive load is affected not only by a person’s abilities and a task they perform, but also by a task stage and user interface. Eye movement and EEG data are collected from users engaged in information seeking in order to gain a new understanding of cognitive demands imposed by information search and to develop a measurement framework for non-intrusive assessment of cognitive load. Understanding human multitasking behaviors through a lens of Goal-Systems Theory.
